Update from Trustees and Leaders

Following the report from Phil Hills and David Shearman, we prepared a seven point action plan which included setting up an independent panel to receive applications from those wanting help with counselling, and another panel for those wishing to seek reparation.

On reflection we felt it was best to combine the two panels into one, as there was likely to be overlap in their work, and we felt that this would be most helpful for those who were hurt by our past. Our overarching principle remains that there is no more hurt, as we seek reconciliation.

We would like to let you know that the independent panel members are in place, and will be chaired by a local minister. We are concluding some practical arrangements and hope to have the combined panel operating towards the end of February 2016. We thank you for your patience and will provide more details of how the panel will operate in the next few weeks.

Please keep praying for God’s wisdom for all concerned.
