On the Move

Report from Rev Gary Seithel – leader of “On the Move East” - Brentwood Churches Outreach - June 2010

Glorious weather- low 70s sun, is this really England? We saw a huge response in people coming through our BBQ site for free Burgers and sausages. Simple menu but great worship music lifting up the Lord right on the spot of the old chapel ruins built almost 800 years ago.

The catering team served a total of 2936portions over the four days. We know about 7 people who for the first time gave their lives to Christ, two recommitments, many lonely and hurting people shown love, kindness& prayed for. Gods presence felt there in the joy of the team serving together from about 11 churches.

A couple hundred Twenty 10 pocket guides to the World Cup from CPO with footballers testimonies were freely given away to with great interest.

There was a special element to this On The Move with 7 American friends from South Carolina who created more interest inviting and sharing with their accents and heart for people. Inviting people to Tony Antony also added an important element- over a dozen people gave their lives to the Lord on Friday evening with several more making important life decisions.
