REVEREND WESLEY VAUGHAN APPOINTED AS SENIOR PASTOR

On Sunday September 15th 2019, a momentous day took place at Trinity Church (ECI) Brentwood, in the form of the Induction Service of Wesley Vaughan along with his wife Claire and young daughter. A day that had been prayed for and longed for by Trinity Church.

Wesley, a fourth generation minister, was previously the lead pastor of Mount of Olives Church in Coleford, Forest of Dean for eight years. Prior to pastoring in Coleford, Wesley was a professional golfer and PGA coach, progressing expertly in his chosen field of sport. Once God had called him into the ministry, he laid aside the fame and fortune of his sport in order to serve the Lord.

Trinity had been many years awaiting a new pastor and several senior ministers had drawn alongside the church to guide and advise them over recent years. Following this period, the Trinity Trustees sought the help of an external advisory team of three senior personnel and it was from this team of advisors that Wesley and Claire were finally asked to join the church in ministry.

Over 450 people attended the induction service which was led by Geoff Feasey one of the advisory team and the induction was conducted by David Campbell, Elim’s regional leader of the metropolitan region.

Several senior leaders also took part, including the Chairman of Trinity’s Trustees, Casian Sala, David Williams a further member of the advisory team and a long-standing friend of the Church from the USA, Rev Kirby Clements. Trinity choir led the worship and Wesley’s father, Rev Adrian Vaughan from Calvary Church Haverfordwest closed the service in prayer.

Throughout the whole day the atmosphere was expectant and full of rejoicing and celebration.

Church members excelled themselves in preparing for this special weekend and the church grounds, the marquees and the outstanding lunch were greatly appreciated. The whole event signalled a major step forward in the life and future for Trinity Church.
